Anne
of Green Gables
from Heather Maciak!
Prince Edward Island's own Anne of Green Gables! Straight out of L.M. Montgomery's beloved classic, our Anne (with an "e") arrives looking much as she would have when Matthew first picked her up at the Bright River train station...flame red braids, sturdy boots, black stockings, plain dress and work pinny, clutching her carpet bag. And in her carpet bag? Her very own nightgown, scrubbed into whiteness, and a well-loved copy of Anne's very favorite poem, "The Lady of Shalott." If we fast forward into the story, we find the beautiful dress that shy Matthew buys Anne...with the puffiest puffed sleeves in the world! Of course, Anne also needed white stockings and dressy shoes to go to the ball with her best friend Diana.
(Anne's clothing is by Boneka. Her bag is from Canadian artist Diana Wieler's La Boutique studio. Her poetry book comes from Dateman Books in England.)
Included:
8" full porcelain Anne by Heather Maciak
2 dresses
1 pinafore
1 long sleeved nightgown
2 pairs of tights
1 pair of shoes
1 pair of boots
1 satchel
1 hardback mini-book
The complete set is $246.50 SOLD

Forget
Me Not Jenny & Lexie
Forget-Me-Not Jenny and Forget-Me-Not Lexie are Basic Dolls that
were a collaboration among doll artist Heather Maciak, clothing designer Rosemarie Ionker, and me as a special for Little Princess Frocks.
As "basic" dolls, they are intended to be dressed by YOU in a special costume you've made or commissioned or purchased... (If you are looking for patterns,
Click HERE to purchase patterns drafted by Heather herself!)
Like the hidden painted heart on each little girl, these two wear their matching
"Forget-Me-Not" flowers in a special place!
Jenny and Lexie came up with the idea because there is an older woman, Mrs. Mac, in their
neighborhood who is a wonderful friend to all the children. She knew that Lexie and
Jenny were best friends, so one day she showed them the special flower tucked in a
corner of her garden...the sweet little blue forget-me-not with the tiny yellow center. It
was planted years and years earlier when Mrs. Mac was a little girl by her best friend
Margie.
She also taught them a little verse that she and Margie always said to each
other ...
"When the golden sun is setting
And your mind from care is free
When of others you are thinking
Will you sometimes think of me?
When the golden sun is setting
And the birds are flitting free
When of dear ones you are thinking
Won't you sometimes think of me.
Think of me when you are happy
Keep for me one little spot
In the corner of your memory
Plant a sweet forget me not."
(Most of this is a true story...one of my dearest friends, Helene MacNeill, always said the last three lines whenever we were saying "goodbye." Helene was truly an amazing woman, and these sweet little Forget-Me-Not friends are my tribute to her!)
Each doll is $105.00 SOLD

Elfin
Jenny & Lexie
I have always wanted to create
an Elfin creature, with antennae & tiny wings
& funny little shoes with curled-up toes.
This is the child’s version of that vision-
whimsical and appealing, but still in the world
of a child’s imagination. These two little monkeys are all set
to get into lots of mischief!
Their stripey tights & t-shirts
are topped by adorable felt jumpers,
embellished with hand embroidered felt flowers.
Stocking caps and bright leather Maryjanes
complete their ensembles. Can you picture
Lexie, scuttling through the bushes in her backyard,
playing at being an elf and dragging poor little Jenny along with her?
They are limited to an edition of 101 in
these costumes
Each
doll is $155 each. SOLD
