Red Riding Hood!
Once upon a time
there was a dear little girl who was loved by
every one who looked at her, but most of all by
her grandmother, and there was nothing that she
would not have given to the child. Once she gave
her a little red cap to tie over her hair, which
suited her so well that she would never wear
anything else. So from then on, she was always
called Little Red Riding Hood.
One day her mother
said to her, "Come, Little Red Riding Hood,
here is a piece of cheese, a loaf of bread, and a
jar of soup. Take them to your grandmother. She is
not well, and they will do her good. Set out soon
and walk nicely and quietly and do not run off the
path..."
and so Little Red
Riding Hood set off on her journey....

As a VERY special
introduction, Heather will be coming to Little
Princess Frocks here on Cape Cod (on the beach in
Massachusetts) for a Little Red Riding Hood
weekend from September 18-21, 2008. Limited to the
first 10 people who sign up, the weekend will
include special projects, wonderful gifts, and

has managed to stay out of trouble
long enough to have her portrait taken!

an Elfin creature, with antennae & tiny wings
& funny little shoes with curled-up toes.
This is the child’s version of that vision-
whimsical and appealing, but still in the world
of a child’s imagination. These two little monkeys are all set
to get into lots of mischief!
Their stripey tights & t-shirts
are topped by adorable felt jumpers,
embellished with hand embroidered felt flowers.
Stocking caps and bright leather Maryjanes
complete their ensembles. Can you picture
Lexie, scuttling through the bushes in her backyard,

Hi! My name is Lexie, and I just turned five last week. I have red hair in braids and my eyes are brown. I also have freckles, which I don’t like, but Mummy says that’s where the sun kissed me. My favourite color is red, but I don’t have very many red clothes, because Mummy says red doesn’t match my hair.

| I have a little sister and two big brothers. I also have a best friend, named Jennifer, but I just call her Jenny. Jenny really likes to come to my house because she says there’s always something going on. My room has bunk beds, and when Jenny comes for a sleepover, I let her have the top bunk. I also have a gerbil named Finnegan- he lives in a cage in my room, and Jenny and I get to feed him lettuce for a treat.

I have a tire swing in my backyard that my Daddy put up for us, but we have to take turns with my brothers. Sometimes, Jenny and I go over to the playground and skip rope. Jenny tries to run in when I’m skipping, but she’s not too good at it yet. No matter what we do, we always have fun, because we’re best friends!

| Lexie likes to come to my house, because it’s so nice and quiet. I have a fancy bed with a canopy, and Lexie thinks it’s way prettier than her
bunkbeds. I have a special shelf in my room that my dad built for me. It has my storybook dolls on it, and we have to be very careful when we play with them. I don’t have any brothers or sisters, but there’s a secret- there’s a baby in Mummy’s tummy! I have to be very patient- I hope it’s a sister for me! |
