Charming hankie dresses hand sewn by Sissy Lingle (Granny Sissy's
Sewing Room). Yes, they are, indeed, made from a real handkerchief,
just like those carried by generations of women. Some of the hankies
Sissy uses are vintage hankies, some are brand new, but all are just
lovely!
The dresses are made using a 1930's design, originally used in a
hankie dress made by a French War bride. Sissy has been making these
for over a year, and teaches workshops at doll conventions on this
method.
